On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the official welcoming ceremony for new students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) part of the 2026 Fakultaria New Student Orientation Program (POMB)
This special occasion was opened by the Head of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Rita Pramujiyanti Khotimah, Ph.D. In her warm address, she inspired the new students to embark on their academic journey with strong commitment, integrity, and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.
Beyond the welcome, Rita Pramujiyanti Khotimah, Ph.D., introduced the faculty members who would serve as mentors. During this session, the lecturers offered a glimpse into the exciting world of university life, outlined the curriculum and campus regulations, and explained the role of academic advisors who would guide the students throughout their time at UMS.
The atmosphere grew more convivial during the social gathering session. Barriers between lecturers and students dissolved through active interaction, fostering a sense of family and open, two-way communication. The entire welcoming event proceeded smoothly and orderly, filled with warmth, and concluded with a prayer and a group photo featuring the entire academic community.
