Surakarta, November 8, 2025 – The Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMS), held a “Workshop on Compiling Research Proposals and PkM with External Funding” for lecturers. The event, held offline in the Jasmine meeting room at the Grand HAP Hotel, Purwosari, Surakarta, featured Dr. Laili Etik Rahmawati, M.Pd. as the resource person.
The event began with remarks and an official opening by the Head of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Ms. Rita Pramujiyanti Khotimah, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. The main session was divided into two sessions: (1) presentations and discussions with the resource person regarding the preparation of research proposals and PkM for external funding; and (2) preparation of research proposals and PkM for external funding. In their presentations, the resource person shared tips for lecturers to successfully secure external funding. The workshop also included a discussion of proposals prepared by workshop participants to gather input from the resource person.
This workshop is expected to increase the number of research proposals and PKM (Study Program) proposals from study program lecturers that receive external funding, namely from the Ministry of Education and Technology’s BIMA grant and the Muhammadiyah Central Executive Board’s RisetMu grant.
